Splits and reverse splits only change the number of shares. If you own a $1000 worth of a stock, you own $1000 worth of a stock. Be that 10 shares or 1000 shares. A reverse split may happen to increase the share "price" to stay on an exchange, but that will not change how much money investors have in the equity.
